Education Curricula for Elementary Schools
Objective
Educating pupils attending elementary schools and the Vranov nad Topľou region on rainwater management and its connection with climate changes.Scheduled Activities
Elaborating, testing and using the education curricula for 1.-9. year of elementary schools, distribution of education curricula to other elementary schools in the district.Realized Activities
In June – August 2015 a selected contractor compiled a draft of education curricula on rainwater management connected with climate changes. The draft contained a selection of basic performance standard according to the innovative school education program and description of education activities for 1. – 9. year of elementary schools.In September 2015 the education curricula draft was sent for comment to teachers of elementary schools in the district. The comments and supplements were incorporated in the document final version. In October 2015 38 copies of education curricula were distributed to elementary schools in the district.
In October – November 2015 9 teachers joined in testing of the education curricula for 1. – 9. year of elementary schools. 136 pupils from seven elementary schools in the district undertook the testing. Teachers made with children selected activities according to the education curricula. Obtained observations and experience were included in final reports with photographic documentation made by the teachers.
