Methodical Training for Elementary School Teachers
Objective
Educating elementary school teachers in the region of Vranov nad Topľou on rainwater management and its connection with climate changes.Scheduled Activities
1. module: theoretical part with professional presentations, excursion in an ecocentre with examples of adaptation measures;
2. module: presentation of education curricula, practical realisation of selected adaptation measures in the area of ZŠ Lomnica.Realized Activities
On 26th May, 2015 the 1st module of methodical training attended by 25 elementary school teachers from the district was held at OZ SOSNA Ecocentre. The first part of the training program consisted of introductory presentations related to the issues of climate changes, objectives and activities planned within the project and the notion to elaborate an education curricula on climate changes for elementary schools. The second part of the program was an excursion in the ecocentre with examples of practical measures for climate chances adaptation.On 2nd October, 2015 the second module of methodical training attended by 21 elementary school teachers was held at ZŠ Lomnica in Vranov nad Topľou. The training program was focused on practical realization of adaptation measures in the elementary school – creation of rainwater flowerbeds.
