Objective 
Reduction of area and the increase of sidewalk rainwater permeability. 

Scheduled Activities 
The reconstruction of the sidewalk in front of the school building, removal of the original asphalt area, reduction of the sidewalk area by 13 m2, installation of water-permeable pavement of 80 m2. 

Realized Activities 
In August 2015 a selected contractor demolished the original sidewalk asphalt surface using construction machinery. Volunteers (especially parents of pupils attending the elementary school and teachers) removed the construction waste incurred by hands and placed it in large volume containers. Transport and disposal of construction waste was done by an authorised organisation in cooperation with the Municipality of Vranov nad Topľou. 

In August 2015 a selected contractor and the Municipality of Vranov nad Topľou employing the capacities of both of them prepared a compressed base for a new sidewalk. In September 2015 a selected contractor installed water-permeable pavement in the parking area of 80 m2.
